Plans for Summer 2010
The executive of the Ruins began 2010 with a Mass celebrated by Msgr. D.B. McDougald in memory of Joan P. McDonald.
Chair Ian McLeod thanked Coleman McDonald, Joan's husband and his sister Lynn, for attending the Mass and the meeting that followed.
He also welcomed Marcel Brunet as a new member to the executive. Marcel joins Ian , Msgr. McDougald, Ed Allinott, Glenda McDonell, Bruce MacDonell, Colleen Kennedy, Joan Ryan, Bernie MacCulloch, David Anderson, Diana Sturkenboom, Andrea Lauzon, Eleanor Macdonell and our honorary member Dave Smith.
The goal for the summer of 2010 will be to become debt free by paying off our loan curently at $13, 000, From that point on funds will be required for annual upkeep of taxes, insurance and hydro.
All were pleased to hear that our curator from 2009, Ryan Seguin, will return this year.
Plan for possible concerts are still in progress and will be announced on the website as well as in the local media.
Meantime these dates should be added to your calendar.
