Bonnie Native Glen

The Friends of the Ruins are very pleased that with the help of a few of our loyal supporters we were able to launch a CD titled Bonnie Native Glen!

The launch took place in Williamstown at the Parish Center on Sunday, February 27. In addition to refreshments the crowd was able to enjoy the musical talents of Bob Burnie, Rob Taylor and of course the CD artists.

And who are these talented folk?

Msgr. D. B. McDougald (his first CD recording!) accompanied by Donald Joseph MacPhee and David MacPhee (fiddlers), Catherine Olive de Freitas (pianist) and Stephen McIntosh (piper). These accomplished artists are children and grandchildren of the late Mary Frances and Donald Edward MacPhee.

The recording could not have been done without the help of our recording engineer Ewen McIntosh ( brother of Stephen) and jacket designer Marc Huot. Marc is a nephew of the late Father Leo MacDonell.

The CD may be purchased for $20 (cash only please) from the following : Flowers Cornwall, Pitt Street North and Town and Country Florists, Alexandria

For those from a distance the CD can be mailed in Canada for $24 and to the USA for $25. This includes the mailing cost.
